Kidnapped Exec. Freed in Mexico

ACAPULCO, Mexico -- Vincent Carrozza, Princess Hotels International's top executive in Mexico, was released by kidnappers Dec. 17 following his abduction here Dec. 9, a spokeswoman for Princess said.

She said Carrozza is safe and with his family, and no further comment would be made.

Carrozza is an American who has been living and working in Acapulco as Princess' regional vice president-Mexico for 19 years.

According to Alejandro Gonzalez Molina, general director of the Acapulco Convention and Visitors Bureau, the incident "has nothing to do with tourism or tourists. Unfortunately, kidnapping is becoming a popular industry, and it has been happening all over the world," he said.
