Loews Hotels & Resorts is acquiring and rebranding the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco.It will be the company's first hotel in the city.

The 158-room hotel in San Francisco’s financial district occupies the top 11 floors of a 48-story office tower that is the city's third-tallest building. The hotel includes Brasserie S&P restaurant.

Loews, which isn’t disclosing the acquisition price, expects to complete the transaction next month. The hotel company has about two dozen properties in North America, including California hotels in Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Monica, Calif.
