Mandarin Oriental Miami holds soft opening

MIAMI -- The Mandarin Oriental Miami, a 329-room hotel on Brickell Key, had its soft opening, and the hotel plans for the grand opening to be held March 31.

The waterfront hotel has about 15,000 square feet of meeting space and will add a restaurant and a spa in the next few months.

The hotel is the sixth property in North America for the Hong Kong-based hotel company.

The firm operates the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco, the Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Hawaii, the Elbow Beach in Bermuda, the Mark in New York, and the Turnberry Isle Resort in Florida.
