Hyatt has opened a second Miraval wellness resort near Austin,
Texas. The Miraval brand, which was acquired by Hyatt in early 2017, also has a
flagship resort in Tucson, Ariz.
Set on 220 acres of land overlooking Lake Travis, the Miraval Austin has 117 guestrooms and suites. The resort's accommodations
feature signature Miraval amenities designed to enhance guest sleep experience,
including black-out shades, a cell phone "sleeping bag" pouch and
premium bedding.
The resort is anchored by expansive wellness facilities,
including a 20,000-square-foot Life in Balance Spa and 5,000-square-foot Body
Mindfulness Center.
At the spa, guests have access to 30 treatment rooms, relaxation
rooms, a pool, salon, sauna, steam room and retail boutique. Spa menu
highlights include Pranayama Dina, a treatment that combines breathwork with
floating massage, and the Spiritual Warrior Facial, which incorporates plants
and gemstones. The Body Mindfulness Center focuses on fitness-related
programming like cardio drumming and spinning classes.
Other offerings include a variety of yoga and meditation
practices such as crystal meditation, as well as more challenge-driven
activities like slacklining, archery and hatchet throwing.
Additionally, Miraval Austin boasts a 10-acre organic farm
that supplies fresh produce to the property and a ranch that is home to the
resort's equine program.
A signature restaurant, Hilltop Crossings Kitchen, showcases
a selection of healthy Texas-inspired and locally sourced dishes, while the
Discovery Pool Cafe and The Nest offer more F&B options, including
smoothies, coffee and craft cocktails.
Guests can opt to visit the resort's Life in Balance
Culinary Kitchen, which hosts healthy-cooking classes and workshops.
Miraval plans to open a third resort in Lenox, Mass., later
this year.
