A new Sofitel hotel with an emphasis on spa treatments and well-being services opened in Agadir, Morocco, next to the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort.
The Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea and Spa includes 174 guestrooms and suites, as well as what it calls a thalassotherapy institute. The spa's thalassotherapy services include treatments with local products such as Argan oil and Barbary fig, as well as heated seawater and aqua-bike sessions. In addition, the hotel's three restaurants will focus on both local and healthier cuisine.
The hotel is located next to the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, which opened in 2003 and includes 273 rooms and suites. Agadir is located on the Atlantic Ocean about 150 miles southwest of Marrakesh.
Accor operates 35 hotels in Morocco, including five under the Sofitel luxury brand.
