The Presidio, the former San
Francisco military base just southeast of the Golden Gate Bridge, will get its
second hotel in 2017.
The hotel will be rebuilt
out of a 120-year-old building that formerly
housed soldiers. The property, located next to the Walt Disney Family Museum,
will have about 40 rooms, many of which will have views of the Golden Gate
Bridge.
The name of the property hasn’t
be determined but it will likely be separate from the Inn at the Presidio,
which opened in 2012 with 22 rooms in the former Pershing Hall in 2012.
The hotel will be managed by
Waterford Hotels & Inns, which also oversees the Inn at the Presidio.
