Sandals Resorts International has unveiled details about the $200 million upgrade to the Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals South Coast all-inclusives in Jamaica.
The three adults-only resorts have been closed since last fall after Hurricane Melissa damaged them.

The 380-room Sandals South Coast will be the first of the trio to welcome back guests on Nov. 18. Updates there will include fully refreshed interiors in the Overwater Butler Villas and the addition of Beachfront Club Two Queen Junior Suites, which were built to serve groups. They are Sandals' first double queen accommodations.
The resort will also debut new food and beverage venues, including signature Sandals concepts like the Blum coffee shop and the Butch's Island Chop House steakhouse. Plans for a new rum bar are in the works.
The Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean are on track to reopen Dec. 18, with the latter relaunching under a new name: Sandals Caribbean Cay.

The Sandals Caribbean Cay will have more guestrooms -- 84 additional accommodations will bring the resort's total room count to 291. New room categories are SkyPool Suites overlooking the sea and Swim-up Suites. Oceanview Butler Suites will debut next June.
Other fresh offerings at the Sandals Caribbean Cay will include Suppa, a Jamaican comfort food restaurant offering sharable dishes, and Keynote Rum Bar, which will showcase Caribbean rums.
Updates will extend to the property's private island, Sandals Cay, which will be home to a new Parisol Beach Club that's accessible by boat. In addition to the Parisol restaurant and a Jerk Shack eatery, the club will offer a swim-up bar, pool and palapas.

The 255-room Sandals Montego Bay will have a redesigned main pool area and new swim-up accommodations and oceanview suites.
On the culinary front, the property will add a Scrimshaw seafood restaurant and its Buccan concept, which specializes in island favorites cooked over an open flame. Also making its debut will be a rum-focused venue, the Bay Roc Rum Club.
And, the Sandals Montego Bay will open its own Parisol Beach Club, which has been designed to incorporate the property's original swim-up bar (Sandals says it's the Caribbean's first swim-up bar). Original bricks, carved with decades of guest names,
have been preserved as a tribute to the resort's history.
The Sandals Montego Bay was the first Sandals resort, opening in 1981.

The Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Caribbean Cay and Sandals South Coast will be the last of Sandals' eight Jamaica all-inclusives to reopen following Hurricane Melissa. Sister properties Sandals Dunn's River, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril reopened last December.
