Mandarin Oriental is making a return to Manila in the Philippines after a 12-year absence, with the Mandarin Oriental Makati, Manila set to open later this year.
The luxury flag previously had a hotel in the Philippine capital from 1976 to 2014.
Near the Ayala Triangle Gardens park in Manila's Makati district, the high-rise hotel will have 275 rooms, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and natural design elements, including warm wood finishes and woven accents.
Entry-level rooms will start at around 538 square feet. The property will also offer connecting rooms as well as family deluxe rooms and suites, offering more spacious living areas and bathrooms.
Guests opting for club accommodations will have access to the Mandarin Oriental Club Lounge and dedicated 24-hour butler service.
Other amenities will include a 8,600-plus-square-foot spa and wellness floor, an 82-foot outdoor pool and event and meeting space, including a Grand Hall spanning nearly 8,000 square feet and able to accommodate 1,000 guests.
The Mandarin Oriental Makati, Manila will join Mandarin Oriental's existing portfolio of 47 hotels globally.
