EF Adventures is diving into the world of solo adventuring with the launch of itineraries designed for solo travelers next year.

Solo travel has moved beyond a fleeting trend to something travelers increasingly want as a permanent option on guided tours. And EF Adventures announced its foray into the travel style with the debut of three solo itineraries in Spain and Portugal in May.

The tour operator's sister brands EF Go Ahead Tours and EF Ultimate Break already offer single-traveler options.

The Spain and Portugal trips are solo versions of EF Adventures' most popular programs there.

An eight-day biking tour of Mallorca starts at $6,779 per person, featuring five days of guided cycling, including on the Cap de Formentor peninsula, the mountain passes of the Tramuntana range and the Sa Calobra climb. The operator hails this as a "bucket-list ascent for cyclists worldwide."

EF will lead an 11-day hiking trip on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and Portugal at $6,899 per person. The journey is centered on hiking the famous pilgrimage route, which is already a popular option for solo travelers. Hikers will stay in handpicked hotels and go on guided treks.

Lastly, the operator will offer a Portugal trip that features multiple activities across nine days. The $6,459 itinerary includes hiking through Sintra, kayaking the sea caves of Ponta da Piedade and e-biking through the Alentejo countryside.
