Swissotel Hotels & Resorts’ first Azerbaijan hotel will open in the country’s capital city of Baku in 2015.
The two-tower property will include 149 rooms as well as 80 luxury residences. The hotel will also have a 23,000-square-foot spa and about 33,000 square feet of meeting space.
Azerbaijan sits on the Caspian Sea and is bordered by Russia, Turkey and Iran. Baku, the country’s capital, has about 2 million people.
Swissotel’s sister company, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, is preparing to open its first Azerbaijan property, the 318-room Fairmont Baku, later this month.
