Virgin Hotels said that its first hotel will open Jan. 15 in Chicago, and the company has launched a website touting amenities.
The opening date was pushed back; Virgin Hotels this summer said the 292-room property would open in December. The hotel is now taking reservations.
The hotel is a redevelopment of Chicago’s Old Dearborn Bank Building. Rates will start at $209 a night.
Virgin Hotels’ website includes a two-minute video touting the property’s amenities. Among them are in-room chambers divided by sliding doors; free WiFi with no bandwidth restrictions; a separate makeup vanity; reasonable pricing in mini-bar products (the video wasn’t specific about those charges); hand-held room-temperature controls; and an adjustable bed.
