MIAMI -- Far & Wide Travel Corp. will hold a series of World
Travel Showcases nationwide, which will present the new products of
the company's 17 tour operators.
The program for the series will include a product presentation
and a trade show, plus a reception and dinner.
The showcases also will present new companywide initiatives,
such as unified terms and conditions, commissions override
programs, increased partnering opportunities for group sales and a
new "quickfax" service.
The schedule for the events is as follows:
Boston, Nov. 13; Long Island, N.Y., Nov. 14; Teaneck, N.J., Nov.
15; Westchester County, N.Y., Nov. 16; Philadelphia, Nov. 28; Oak
Brook, Ill., Nov. 29; Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nov. 30; Irvine,
Calif., Dec. 5; and Universal City, Calif., Dec. 6.
Far & Wide companies to be featured in the shows include
Adventure Center, African Travel, Brian Moore International Tours,
Central Holidays, IST Cultural Tours, Pacific Bestours, Regina
Tours, Swain Tours, Downunder Direct, Tourlite and Zeus Tours &
Yacht Cruises.
Participation is by invitation only and is limited to 200 travel

Far & Wide taps sales VP
The company also appointed Paula Hayes, the former vice
president of U.S. sales of SuperClubs, to the position of vice
president of sales-travel industry.
A 24-year industry veteran, Hayes began her career as a
reservations agent with Butler Travel in St. Petersburg, Fla., and
worked her way up to director of sales and marketing for the
agency.
She later held the positions of vice president of sales for
Premier Cruises and Lucayan Beach Resort & Casino and as sales
manager for Resorts International (Bahamas) Ltd.
In her new role, she will manage Far & Wide's 20-member
North America sales team from its Miami office.
