Funjet Vacations guarantee makes vacations Fun for Sure

Funjet Vacations added a new hurricane plan to its existing Pre-Travel Penalty Waiver (PTPW) that applies to all hotels and all destinations.

All year round -- weve got it handled, said Ray Snisky, president. Funjet Vacations offers the ultimate flexibility for travelers. They can book with no worries and know that if they want to cancel for any reason, they can get their money back. We also help ease concerns over what the weather might bring while on vacation during hurricane season.

Funjet Vacations Fun for Sure guarantee includes the PTPW, in which travelers may cancel for any reason, up to the time of departure with no questions asked. Travelers who cancel will receive a money-back refund. In addition, the PTPWs price guarantee states that if travelers find the vacation they bought advertised for a lower price by Funjet Vacations, they are refunded the difference.

The Fun for Sure plan also includes the new hurricane coverage for air/hotel vacations on a charter or value flight, offering money back for interrupted and unused nights, and a $100 per-person Fresh Start certificate redeemable for a future vacation to nearly any Funjet option. Children receive a $50 Fresh Start certificate. Certificates may be used on a Funjet Vacations air/hotel vacation for one year from the original departure date.

With our Fun For Sure hurricane program, travelers have more flexibility because they are not restricted to booking only certain hotels to get the benefit, said Snisky. Our program combines money back for the interrupted portion of the vacation and a future discount for a new trip.

Fun for Sure is priced at $69.99 per person. As an introductory offer, the Hurricane Plan enhancement is free (a $19.99 value) to travelers that purchase the PTPW for travel through Oct. 31 on an air/hotel vacation. Customers who have already purchased the PTPW for travel through October automatically receive the hurricane interruption benefits for free. For further information, visit www.funjet.com.

Meanwhile, the Westin Rio Mar Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico launched its Rest Assured hurricane-season protection policy, which covers all guests and is in effect whenever an official hurricane watch or warning is in place in the area.

Guests holding confirmed reservations are offered a one-category upgrade if they reschedule within one calendar year. Guests already in the hotel during a storm will not be penalized for an early departure and any unused portion of a guests deposit will be refunded. Guests also have the option of rebooking the balance of any reserved nights.

However, anyone wanting to leave just because of bad weather will not be able to use either program. Both apply to a recognized hurricane, in which the sustained winds are 74 mph or higher. For details, visit www.westinriomar.com.

Also, Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations has implemented a new severe weather cancellation policy called No Questions Asked, valid through Nov. 30. The policy allows guests to cancel or reschedule their vacations in the event that any active, named storm affects their travels. Guests choosing to cancel will be issued a complete refund -- No Questions Asked.

Universal will assist guests in rescheduling their vacations or issue a refund to guests unable to travel to Orlando for their booked vacation due to the storm. In order to be eligible for the policy conditions, reservations must be booked through Universal Parks & Resorts a minimum of seven days in advance and cancelled before 6 p.m. the day prior to arrival.

The policy applies to any vacation booked through Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations, including the three on-site hotels -- the Hard Rock Hotel, the Royal Pacific Resort and the Portofino Bay Hotel -- in addition to all Universal Orlando partner hotels.
