Intrepid Travel, which has been building a lodging portfolio, has launched Stay Intrepid, its first collection of accommodations.
The brand extension features the six properties that the tour operator has acquired: the Daintree Ecolodge, Edge of the Bay, Arkaba Homestead, Bamarru Plains and Ooraminna Homestead in Australia and Riad Joudour in Morocco.
The properties will offer guests a series of curated experiences that feature local culture and nature, such as First Nations guided walks at the Daintree Ecolodge, bush walks and safari drives at Arkaba Homestead and a cooking class at Riad Joudour.
The lodgings can be booked independently of Intrepid tours.
"Stay Intrepid represents an exciting next step in our ambition to bring immersive travel experiences to more people around the world," said Intrepid's general manager of accommodation Richmond Sear. "It opens up new opportunities to create stays that are experience-led and rooted in community, aligning with our mission to create positive change through the joy of travel."
Intrepid plans to expand into new destinations and grow its lodging portfolio to 20 properties by 2028.
