Intrepid has opened a destination management office (DMO) in Jordan, expanding its operations in the Middle East.
The new hub is in Amman, where a local team will oversee the company's small-group tours beginning this summer.
Intrepid said opening a DMO in Jordan highlights its confidence in the country at a time of crisis. The Israel-Hamas war has had a far-reaching impact on tourism in Jordan and Egypt.
Intrepid's Jordan bookings are down 74% from a year ago.
"Despite the current crisis, Jordan has so much to offer our global travelers and we consider it a key destination for our business." said Zina Bencheikh, Intrepid's managing director for its EMEA region.
Bencheikh added that the office will enable Intrepid to take its offerings to the next level, introducing new itineraries and purpose-driven initiatives as soon as next year.
