AAA Travel will sponsor Samantha Brown's PBS travel show, "Places
to Love," marking the first time AAA has sponsored a show nationally.
"While we don't think it is unusual for an agency group
to sponsor a show about travel, we feel the AAA brand is particularly well aligned
with Samantha Brown and the destinations she features in 'Places to Love,'"
said Bryan Shilling, managing director of AAA travel products and services. "Our
focus is on sharing Samantha's message and travel-related content with our
members."
The second season, which has 13 episodes, is currently
airing. The show follows Brown as she visits 27 destinations.
AAA will also host a group cruise with Brown on AmaWaterways'
AmaMagna from July 14 to 21, just after its christening (Brown is the river
ship's godmother). The itinerary, which includes two talks with Brown, will
take travelers from Vilshofen, Germany, to Budapest, Hungary. AAA members will
receive additional amenities: a gift from Brown, a $150 onboard credit and the
services of a AAA host.
"The group cruise is an added benefit of this
sponsorship and a great opportunity for our members to travel with Samantha,"
Shilling said.
