Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has expanded its travel
agents rewards program, introduced in 2016, with an upgraded
points system as well as additional
incentives and benefits.
Agents registered in Bahia Principe Rewards now are able to
collect more points when participating in online courses (200 points) and
securing referrals (150 points).
Points also can be doubled during specific sales periods,
and to encourage new travel partners to join the program, the company will
offer a 1,000-point bonus for new registrations.
The rewards program's past requirement of securing a
three-night minimum has been modified so that all stays and bookings,
regardless of length, now warrant rewards points.
Bahia recently classified its properties into four
categories: Luxury, for the brand's most luxurious hotels; Grand, featuring
five-star hotels; Sunlight for all Spain-based properties; and Fantasia, a
family-friendly concept that offers thematic hotels.
Luxury and Fantasia properties garner 125 points per room,
per night, while Grand and Sunlight properties garner 100.
"We rely on the travel agent community to achieve our
goals. We updated the program because we felt there was a missing piece when it
came to showing our appreciation to our partners, and we now hope to reaffirm
that commitment with these added incentives and opportunities for recognition,"
said Helen Montijano, vice president of sales and marketing for the U.S. and
Canada.
Agents who earn points can redeem their rewards in several
ways, including complimentary stays at Bahia Principe properties in the
Caribbean, Canary Islands and Mallorca (Spain); excursion discounts of up to
$75; free private airport transfers; spa treatments in Bahia Spa; golf vouchers
at the brand's golf courses at Bahia Principe La Romana Golf Club in the
Dominican Republic and Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Golf Club in Mexico, and
complimentary dinners for two.
