Booking.com is incentivizing Americans to travel by offering them $50 in post-stay travel credits for certain bookings made within its app.
The credits are part of the OTA's "Back to Travel" campaign, which features new data from a Booking.com survey. The survey found 71% of American respondents felt more hopeful and optimistic about traveling this year because of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout. Additionally, 66% of American respondents were in favor of the government implementing measures to help the travel industry recover.

Booking.com also found that 60% of American respondents had reevaluated the importance of travel in their lives during the pandemic and now believe it is more important.
The $50 credit is for U.S. residents and can be activated within the Booking.com app by April 30. For consumers with stays booked in the app by May 31 and completed by Dec. 31, a $50 credit will automatically be deposited in the customer's Booking.com account. It is redeemable for select properties for one year.
