SECAUCUS, N.J. -- George Hundley was named executive vice president
of Cahners Travel Group, which includes Travel Weekly. He succeeds
Kevin Condon, who is leaving to start his own business.
Hundley, a 17-year publishing executive, has served in a number
of top positions with Cahners Business Information, the travel
group's parent company. His responsibilities have ranged over
publications in many of the business-to-business markets in which
Cahners has titles. Most recently, he was vice president of
strategy and development for Cahners.
Condon, who joined Cahners Travel Group in 1998, will launch a
company with plans to buy business-to-business publications, trade
shows and electronic media companies. His firm will be backed by
GTCR Golder Rauner LLC, a Chicago-based private equity fund.
