LONDON -- Executives from Forte Hotels, Worldspan and Lufthansa
will be featured speakers at the second Forecast Forum, held during
World Travel Market Nov. 16 to 19.
WTM is held here each year at the Earls Court Exhibition Center,
traditionally drawing some 40,000 industry representatives and
visitors.
The Forecast Forum brings together senior figures from various
sectors of the industry and invites them to give their insights
into developments over the past 12 months and to make their
predictions for the coming year.
The forum will feature Suki Kalirai, worldwide marketing
director for Forte Hotels; Tim Wright, Worldspan International's
marketing senior director; Dieter Heinen, Lufthansa's senior vice
president for sales and services, Europe, and Tom Nutley, chairman
of European Tourism Trade Fairs.
World Travel Market exhibition director Fiona Jeffery will chair
the event. "We had a phenomenal response last year, drawing a full
capacity audience," Jeffery said. "This style of forum is unique
and offers invaluable information on past trends and future plans
within key sectors of the travel and tourism industry on a global
basis."
The forum will take place on Nov. 16 from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m.
in the Westminster Room at Earls Court.
In other WTM news, an upgraded customer service hot line was
opened for all visitor and exhibitor queries relating to the show.
Agents and other trade professionals can register through the hot
line, which is manned from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 8
a.m to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The number is (011) 44-1923
697-031.
All trade professionals gain free admission to World Travel
Market this year, providing that they register by Nov. 2.
Exhibitors will receive their free allocations of tickets to send
to their own contacts and clients.
