Expedia Inc. has changed its corporate name to Expedia Group Inc.

The company said the change "better reflects its identity as a leading global technology company."

Expedia Group will still trade on Nasdaq with the ticker symbol EXPE.

The online giant, No. 1 on Travel Weekly's 2017 Power List, owns multiple brands, including Expedia, Hotels.com, Expedia Partner Solutions, Egencia, Homeaway, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif, CheapTickets, Hotwire, Lastminute.com.au, Ebookers, Classic Vacations, Expedia Media Solutions, CarRentals.com, Expedia Local Expert, Expedia CruiseShipCenters and Traveldoo.

"We are excited to introduce the new Expedia Group name and identity to better reflect the global nature of our business, more clearly articulating who we have become and who we aspire to be," CEO Mark Okerstrom said in a statement.

Last month, Priceline Group (No. 2 on Travel Weekly's 2017 Power List) made a similar announcement, changing its corporate name to Booking Holdings to better reflect the rise of its Booking.com brand.
