Former Expedia CEO Erik Blachford has joined the board of directors at Fora Travel.

Blachford is an independent venture investor with Blachford Capital but was part of Expedia's founding team; he would serve as its president then CEO and has also served as the CEO of IAC Travel, Terrapass and Butterfield & Robinson. In addition, Blachford currently sits on the boards of Zillow and Peloton.
His investments with Blachford Capital focus on online travel; health and fitness; and clean energy.
"I love the focus on empowering Fora advisors as travel entrepreneurs and how their booking platform enables industry suppliers to deliver their best guest experience," Blachford said in a statement. "In a world that feels more automated by the day, it's great to see how all sides still appreciate the personal touch in travel."
Fora Travel is home to thousands of advisors who have booked more than $1 billion since the agency's founding in 2021.
