Seat-kickers, beware: Expedia.com has named you the worst passenger to encounter during a flight for the fourth year in a row.

The OTA on Monday released its 2018 Airplane and Hotel Etiquette Study, which found seat-kickers were respondents' least favorite people on a flight for the fourth year in a row. In total, 51% of respondents found them to be the worst on a ranked list, and 62% said they would notify airline staff about the offender.

Rounding out the top five worst passengers were what Expedia has termed "the aromatic passenger" (43%), "inattentive parents" (39%), "personal space violators" (34%) and the "audio intensive" (29%).

Apparently, the respondents to Expedia's survey had an issue with feet. Not only were seat-kickers deemed the worst-offending airline passengers, but those who shed their shoes during a flight were also looked down upon: More than 90% of respondents said it's not OK to be barefoot on a plane.

And on a flight, silence is golden: 77% of respondents "dread sitting next to someone who talks too much," Expedia found. Most would rather sleep (69%) than talk to fellow passengers (28%).

When it comes to the lodging side of things, inattentive parents top Expedia's list of the worst passengers, with 45% of respondents identifying them as the leading offenders. At 41%, inattentive parents were followed by "in-room revelers" and "hallway hellraisers" as annoying guests. Complainers also made the list (29%), as did "party-goers" and "bar boozers" at 27% each.
