ANNANDALE, Va. -- Three former regional directors of the old
U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration launched Simply
International Seminars, offering educational sessions on the
practical aspects of working with international markets.
The principals are Max Ollendorff, former USTTA regional
director for France and Germany; Sandra Gamo, former regional
director for Japan, and Jon Arthur, former regional director for
South America.
Ollendorff spent 33 years with the USTTA; Gamo has 33 years of
experience in the Japanese market, and Arthur has 25 years in the
South American market.
The trio will present a morning seminar in seven West Coast
cities in February geared to travel industry professionals who deal
in inbound and/or outbound markets involving Japan, Korea,
Argentina, Brazil, Germany and/or France.
The seminars will be held in Seattle on Feb. 17; Portland, Feb.
18; Santa Barbara, Calif., Feb. 19; Santa Monica, Calif., Feb. 23;
Long Beach, Calif., Feb. 24; Anaheim, Calif., Feb. 25, and San
Diego, Feb. 26.
Sessions run from 8 a.m. to noon. The fees, which include
continental breakfast and a hand-out kit, are $90, $60 for the
second person from the same organization and $30 for others from
the same organization.
Ollendorff said a rate for tourism students is available on
request.
