Global Rescue eliminates distance limit: Travel Weekly

Global Rescue has expanded its services by eliminating the rule that members must be more than 100 miles from home to access rescue protection.

Global Rescue provides medical and security evacuation to members as well as risk management solutions. Historically, it has only evacuated clients who are more than 100 miles from home, but the coronavirus crisis prompted it to rethink that requirement.

"Covid-19 opened the door for people to explore and appreciate the great outdoors nearby, and people flooded through the doorway," CEO Dan Richards said in a statement. "But with an increase in local, outdoor activities there is a parallel expectation of the need for rescue services."

The change comes at no additional cost to members.
