HINSDALE, Ill. -- Midwest Agents Selling Travel, a 350-member
regional association with headquarters here, said it expanded its
direct-mail program for members and is now calling it MAST Vacation
Partners Direct, or MVP Direct.
MAST said it has built a database of 200,000 names from
members.
The association will create direct-mail pieces, customize them
for members and mail them to each agency's client base for a
"minimal" charge, it said.
The bulk of the cost for MVP Direct is financed by participating
suppliers, which can purchase space in the various direct-mail
pieces offered.
"Agents free up their time by having MAST handle their mailings
and get serious inquiries directed back to them. Suppliers are
assured distribution of their information," John Kloster, MAST's
executive director, said.
MAST has scheduled one to two mailings per month. Agency members
will be able to choose which promotional materials they want
sent.
