Vacation.com said the integration of Cruise Holidays into
Vacation.com has been completed, with Cruise Holidays remaining as a distinct
brand albeit with a different business model.
Kevin Weisner, senior vice president of sales for
Vacation.com and Cruise Holidays’ former senior vice president, said Cruise Holidays
agencies no longer pay the licensing fee required when they were franchises.
Cruise Holidays agencies also get access to Vacation.com’s direct
marketing programs, more expanded service hours and use of Vacation.com’s cruise
booking tool, air program and agent portal.
Cruise Holidays members are continuing with their
consumer-facing branded websites, Weisner said. They will continue to use the AgentMate
back office system.
And, Vacation.com will continue to foster the sense of
community built up among the former franchises, Weisner said.
“We wanted to keep that family atmosphere alive for them,”
said John Lovell, president of Vacation.com.
There are just under 200 Cruise Holidays agencies.
