JUPITER, Fla. -- The Outside Sales Support Network, a trade association for home-based and outside sales travel agents, said it intends to add 15 chapters this year.

OSSN has 60 chapters in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Latin America.

"The other trade association is cutting back, but we are moving the other way," OSSN president Gary Fee said, referring to ASTA's announced plans to reduce its number of chapters.

Fee told TravelWeekly.com that OSSN intends to open new chapters in Wyoming and Mexico City, among other places, and is considering establishing additional chapters in San Jose, Calif., and Chicago.

The existing chapter in San Jose, one of several in California, has some 300 members.

"That's a giant chapter," Fee said, while Chicago's unit has more than 100 members. "We probably need three chapters there," Fee said, to accommodate all of the agents interested in joining.
