WASHINGTON -- Travel prices in December inched up 2.6% compared
with December 2001, according to TIA's Travel Price Index.
Most of the increase was attributed to motor fuel (up 24.6%) and
food/beverage (up 2%) prices.
Airfares suffered the largest drop, down 3.3% year-to-date.
