Princess Cruises and the Travel Institute have formed a year-long strategic partnership that will provide travel advisors with cross-collaborative educational content that includes sponsored webinars and booking incentives.

Highlights of the partnership include a collaboration on the Travel Institute's new Alaska Destination Specialist Course, which launches next quarter, in line with Star Princess' debut. That ship will sail Alaska itineraries.

Continuing education units will be rewarded to certified Travel Institute graduates completing the Princess Commodore Program. And, there will be an opt-in booking incentive for graduates of Travel Institute certification programs.

Additionally, Princess will fund the TripKit training program for new travel advisors and certification program scholarships. The cruise line also will sponsor Travel Institute's lineup of "New to the Travel Industry" webinars.

"Travel advisors are the lifeblood of our industry," said Carmen Roig, Princess' senior vice president of sales and trade marketing. "By investing in their education, we're investing in the long-term success of the entire travel community."
