Chartis, parent company of Travel Guard, said all travel insurance products sold worldwide will begin operating under the Travel Guard brand, effective immediately.
Until now, the Travel Guard product has been sold under a number of different brand names outside the U.S. and Canada. A spokesman said this will be helpful to travel agencies that sell internationally because they can now promote all Travel Guard products under the same name.
Going forward, all the company's travel operations will be positioned as Travel Guard, a Chartis company.
Jeffrey Rutledge has been named chairman and CEO of Travel Guard Worldwide. He has been a Chartis executive for 10 years.
Chartis, formerly AIU Holdings, is part of AIG.
