Tripadvisor will launch a subscription service, Tripadvisor Plus, in the coming months, giving members access to deals and perks on "tens of thousands of hotels" and 400,000-plus attractions.
CEO Steve Kaufer broke the news on CNBC on Tuesday.
"Think of it as a travel club," Kaufer told CNBC. "It's a great
opportunity to achieve some amazing discounts and perks and be able to
save money on not only hotels but also experiences."
An annual subscription to Tripadvisor Plus will be priced at $99. The company said it believes members will likely get their subscription money back in savings on their first booking.
