USAF Calls for Bids on 3 Accounts

WASHINGTON -- The Air Force called for statements of interest from travel firms that might wish to bid on three accounts, as follows:

  • Peterson and Falcon Air Force bases and the U.S. Air Force Academy, all in Colorado. The Air Force is seeking information on firms capable of handling official and leisure travel for the account. Capability statements should be sent immediately to fax (719) 556-4538. In addition, comments are being sought on a draft statement of work that can be accessed at www.spacecom.af.mil/21cons/busines1.htm.
  • Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Station, both in Florida. The Air Force is conducting a "market survey" to identify firms interested in handling official travel, with the understanding that $600,000 in working capital is required to carry accounts receivable. Agencies should send statements of experience in the government travel market plus information on the firm's business classification (small, minority-owned, large, etc.) to 45 CONS/LGCV, Attn: Pat Colbary, 1201 Minuteman St., Patrick Air Force Base, Fla. 32925-3237.
  • Malstrom Air Force Base in Montana.
  • Potential bidders should send information about themselves, including their business classification, immediately to fax (406) 731-4005. Firms interested in scheduling one-on-one discussions should call Nancy Alessandrini immediately at (406) 731-4031.
