WASHINGTON -- The Air Force called for statements of interest from
travel firms that might wish to bid on three accounts, as follows:
Peterson and Falcon Air Force bases and the U.S. Air Force
Academy, all in Colorado. The Air Force is seeking information on
firms capable of handling official and leisure travel for the
account. Capability statements should be sent immediately to fax
(719) 556-4538. In addition, comments are being sought on a draft
statement of work that can be accessed at
www.spacecom.af.mil/21cons/busines1.htm.Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Station, both in
Florida. The Air Force is conducting a "market survey" to identify
firms interested in handling official travel, with the
understanding that $600,000 in working capital is required to carry
accounts receivable. Agencies should send statements of experience
in the government travel market plus information on the firm's
business classification (small, minority-owned, large, etc.) to 45
