CHICAGO -- During the annual Travel Weekly Conference set for May 3
to 5 here, two travel agents will share their experiences with
making major technology changes.
The speakers, in a session called How to Implement a Significant
Change in Your Technology, will be Rebecca Martin, senior vice
president at A&I Travel in Memphis, Tenn., and Raiford Pierce,
president, Executive Travel Associates in Washington.
They will help their peers determine when to use new
technologies and when to stick with existing systems that do the
job.
For those who need to make changes, the panelists will advise on
prioritizing and establishing time lines. They also will focus on
how to find resources and assign responsibilities.
Chandler Boyd, president, CompuTravel in Needham, Mass., will
moderate the seminar on technological change.
The Travel Weekly Conference 2000 will be staged at the Sheraton
here. The registration fee for the meeting is $550.

Web site is $500, and for all delegates, the early-bird rate is
$425. The early-bird registration deadline is March 3.
