Booking Holdings plans to expand its presence in the
Asia-Pacific region by acquiring HotelsCombined, a hotel metasearch site based
in Australia, for an undisclosed price.
HotelsCombined was founded in 2005. It will operate under
metasearch brand Kayak.
The acquisition, expected to close later this year, is
subject to regulatory approval. HotelsCombined's board of directors and
stockholders have approved it.
Booking Holdings' primary brands are Booking.com, Kayak,
Priceline.com, Agoda.com, Rentalcars.com and OpenTable.
