Amazon and Disney have debuted Hey, Disney!, an Amazon Echo voice assistant set to roll out at Walt Disney World Resort hotels next year.

In addition to being offered at Disney hotels via Amazon's Alexa for Hospitality platform, Hey, Disney! will be available for use on Echo devices at home.

According to Josh D'Amaro, chairman for Disney parks, experiences and products, the voice assistant is designed to "unlock new ways for guests to engage with our iconic characters and stories," with users able to access interactive Disney experiences, entertainment, jokes, trivia and other content.

At Disney hotels, guests will also be able to utilize Hey, Disney! to make special requests, like asking for extra blankets or pillows, as well as get information on the fastest way to get to the park, where to find certain food items and more.

Access to Hey, Disney! at the hotels will be available as a complimentary amenity. For at-home use, Hey, Disney! will be available for purchase in the U.S. in the Alexa Skills Store.

According to Amazon, Hey, Disney! marks the first time an Alexa custom assistant will be available on Echo devices.
