STAMFORD, Conn. -- Priceline.com named Daniel
Schulman, a former AT&T executive, as its new president and
chief operating officer. Schulman, age 41, succeeds Jesse Fink, who
is returning to Walker Digital, an intellectual property laboratory
and a sister company to Priceline.com, Schulman spent 18 years of
his career with AT&T, serving most recently as president of its
consumer markets division.
Richard Braddock, Priceline.com's chairman and chief executive
officer, said, "Our goal is to become one of America's blue-chip
electronic-commerce companies.
"Dan will be a key member of the management team that will
continue to aggressively expand our current product and service
lines."
Priceline.com's travel services line offers air tickets and
hotel rooms, but the company wants to add cruises, tours and rental
cars.
