Sabre has partnered with Amazon Web Services as part of its
migration to the cloud.
During the company's first-quarter earnings call Tuesday,
president and CEO Sean Menke said multiple Sabre products are already hosted on
Amazon's cloud. The new agreement "deepens our strategic partnership to
support our accelerated migration to the cloud as Sabre's primary operating
environment."
Menke expects the cloud migration to have benefits for both
his company and its customers.
"We will benefit from increased flexibility and reduced
operating costs, while our customers should see enhanced performance,
stability, security and time-to-market benefits for new functionality," he
said.
Under the partnership, Amazon Web Services will provide
Sabre with additional services and training.
