Video: WTTC highlights progress in biometric security screening

BUENOS AIRES -- The urgency for integrating advanced biometric scanners into airports to enhance security, facilitate travel and increase capacity was a recurring theme at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit here this week.

Speakers representing public and private enterprise, including Mastercard, the European Union, the World Economic Forum and IATA joined WTTC CEO Gloria Guevara and airport officials in sounding what amounted to a call to arms for governments and airport authorities to prioritize biometric initiatives.
