Dominica invites travel agents to become island specialists

The Discover Dominica Authority, the island's tourism organization, has relaunched its online training program for travel advisors worldwide. The goal is give travel partners an immersive view of the island's various facets.

The free program offers travel professionals the opportunity to become Dominica specialists and showcase ways in which the destination fits with existing and emerging demographic segments among their client bases.

The five modules that make up the program are Discover Dominica; Land Adventures for All; Water Adventure for All; Where to Stay, Events & Cuisine; and Selling Dominica.

"The continued engagement of the travel professional community forms a key strategy for the destination, where their product knowledge is essential given the critical role they play in the travel industry," said Kimberly King, Discover Dominica Authority destination marketing manager.

Upon completion, travel professionals will become Dominica specialists and will then automatically be entered into a prize draw for a future Dominica fam trip.

Travel agents can visit the Discover Dominica site to enroll.
