Ground was broken earlier this month on a Tom Fazio-designed golf course that will be a centerpiece of the Christophe Harbour development on St. Kitts.
"It's clear that Fazio, Kiawah Development Partners and our government are committed to the timely completion of Christophe Harbour, which will strengthen St. Kitts' efforts to become a world-class travel destination," said Ricky Skerritt, St. Kitts' minister of tourism, sports and culture.
The 250-acre golf course will be 500 feet above sea level in hills overlooking the Caribbean.
Christophe Harbour also will include a Mandarin Oriental hotel, a mega-yacht marina, residences and a marina village with shops and restaurants.
The Beach House restaurant at Turtle Beach opened earlier this year as the development's first component.
