Kempinski Hotels and international developer JTRE broke ground on Kempinski Grace Bay, a luxury hotel and residential project planned for an 11-acre oceanfront site on Turks and Caicos’ Grace Bay Beach. The development marks Kempinski’s entry into the Turks and Caicos market and will include 119 private residences and four oceanfront villas. Plans call for low-density architecture with sea views. According to Kempinski, the property will serve as a flagship for the brand in the Americas.

Planned amenities include multiple dining venues, a beach club, a European spa, an oceanview fitness center, a sports pavilion, a kids’ club and a 3,000-square-foot wine cellar. Developers said sustainability elements such as insulated glass, solar-power systems and native landscaping irrigated with recycled water will be incorporated into the design.

The project extends the existing partnership between Kempinski and JTRE, whose portfolio includes developments in Europe. Construction is underway and is slated to continue through 2026, with completion targeted for 2028.
