Carnival Cruise Line added a second Greenland sailing on the Carnival Legend after the first sold out in 24 hours, according to John Heald, the line's brand ambassador and social media star.
Heald posted on his Facebook page in late September that the Legend would visit two ports in Greenland (Nanortalik and Qaqortoq) as well as three Canadian ports (St. Anthony and Corner Brook in Newfoundland and Sydney, Nova Scotia) on a 14-day sailing in September 2023 from Baltimore.
Heald later said that the "special cruise to Greenland from Baltimore sold out within 24 hours. So many people were disappointed and upset that they could not get a cabin for this brilliant roundtrip voyage from Baltimore. So they have now arranged for another one, with the same extraordinary itinerary to these two beautiful, quiet and peaceful and, quite honestly, epic places in Greenland."
The additional cruise departs August 13, 2023, also on the Legend. Heald said he will host both cruises.
"I was lucky enough to sail to Greenland on the Carnival Legend when I was still a cruise director and, wow, what an epic experience," Heald said. "I will be hosting this cruise again in 2023, and what a cruise it will be. These small villages are incomparable. No tours, no shops just wonderful people who live off the sea and the land and who will open their doors to you and let you share their lives."
The Legend is scheduled to resume service from Baltimore in November.
