Carnival Cruise Line will include pricier alcoholic drinks and specialty coffees in its Cheers! beverage package, starting March 1. The package price will remain the same: $49.95 per person, per day when purchased before the cruise and $54.95 onboard.

The ceiling for alcoholic drinks is currently $10; drinks thayt cost up to $50 will be included, which adds dozens of high-end spirits and wines by the glass. For example, Grey Goose VX vodka, Chivas Royal Salute Scotch whiskey, Patron Anejo tequila, Hennessy XO cognac and Pinot Noir Cherry Tart wine are now on the Cheers! menu.

Also, Carnival is including more nonalcoholic beverage choices in the Cheers! package.

Beverages that were previously not covered include specialty coffees and teas served in the main dining room, specialty restaurants and coffee bars; RockStar energy drinks; Powerade; Vitamin Water; Coconut Water; Honest Tea; 500-milliliter bottles of water served in bars and lounges; and 1 liter and 1.5 liter bottles of water in the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants.

Various limits on the program remain in place, including the restriction of no more than 15 alcoholic drinks served in a 24-hour period.
