Carnival Cruise Line's room service changes that had been
announced for mid-January have been put on hold.
Brand ambassador and senior cruise director John Heald said
in a Facebook posting on Sunday that "we are in the process of making some
adjustments to that plan to balance the interests of our guests with our
efforts to reduce food waste costs."
Heald said that for the time being there will be no changes "until
we finalize a plan that will I will communicate to you all."
Carnival had been set to implement an a la carte all-day
room service menu in which items cost $2 to $6 each, with the exception of
continental breakfast. Currently that menu is only in effect from 10 p.m. to 6
a.m.
