SAINT LOUIS - Passengers were evacuated off the Clipper Odyssey Aug. 1 after the vessel struck a submerged rock off the coast of Alaska.

The line canceled the Odyssey's subsequent cruise on Aug. 4. No injuries were reported in the collision, and Clipper Cruises said the damage to the Odyssey was "minimal."

David Drier, Clipper's CEO, said Clipper expects to repair the vessel in Alaska in time for its Aug.16 sailing.

Clipper said the rock, which was submerged off the coast of Unalaska Island, near Dutch Harbor, Alaska, was uncharted. The ship was moving at five to six knots and was carrying 126 passengers, 70 crew and two certified Alaskan ship pilots.
