Construction on Explora Journeys' sixth ship is underway.

Executives from the luxury cruise line gathered at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente shipyard in Italy on Monday to commemorate the Explora VI's steel-cutting as well as the float-out of the Explora IV and the coin ceremony for the Explora V.

Explora president Anna Nash noted that "all six ships in our fleet are either in service or under construction."

Explora has had similar triple-milestone ceremonies in 2024 and 2025. By 2028, all six of its ships are expected to be in service. The Explora I debuted in 2022.

The Explora III will be the next ship to enter service this July. Last year was the only year between 2023 and 2028 without a scheduled Explora ship launch.

The cruise line recently launched a marketing campaign that likens its ships to boutique hotels.
