Costa Cruises has issued rebooking and refund policies for customers scheduled to sail on the wrecked Costa Concordia through Feb. 25.
Passengers who were to embark the ship Jan. 14, the day after the 3,200-passenger ship hit rocks off the Italian coast, will receive a full refund and a 30% credit on the amount paid toward a future cruise. Costa said it would pay costs associated with airline changes.
If guests choose to rebook on available sailings through March on the Luminosa, Mediterranea, Favolosa, Serena or Voyager, Costa will pay for their air if booked through Costa. Rebookings must be made by Jan. 18.
Passengers scheduled to sail on Jan. 20 will receive a full refund and a 30% future cruise credit.
No compensation for air will be provided to customers who didn't buy air from Costa.
Passengers can rebook in January, February or March according to availability, and Costa will assist the guest and work with the airline on change fees for their new cruise.
For sailings from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25, Costa will offer a full refund and a 30% future cruise credit. No compensation for air will be provided for cruise-only customers.
Passengers who choose to rebook on another ship can choose any seven-day cruise between now and June 2012 and be price-protected. Costa said it will assist those passengers and work with the airline on change fees for the rescheduled cruise.
