Silversea Cruises will revamp the dining on its new Silver Muse, starting Oct. 13.
In a memo to travel agents and booked passengers, Silversea outlined the changes on the Muse, which was just introduced in April.
The ship was the first for Silversea not to have a traditional main dining room. Instead, it had eight individual restaurants, some larger and others more intimate.
One of the largest, Atlantide, with room for 164 guests, will get bigger, Silversea said. The restaurants Atlantide, Indochine and the pizza restaurant Speccanapoli will have open seating instead of being reservations recommended.
The Asian food at Indochine will be less spicy and the atmosphere at La Dolce Vita, the long midship lounge, will become more intimate, the memo said.
Silversea will also change the evening dress protocol on Silver Muse so that it conforms to the rest of its fleet. Initially, the level of formality varied by dining venue and was the same throughout the cruise. In October, Silver Muse will revert to formal nights for the entire ship, with one scheduled on cruises of eight to nine days, two on cruises of 10 to 14 days and three on cruises of 15 days or longer.
