Disney Cruise Line will offer its first summer sailings from Miami in 2022.
The Disney Dream's June 7 cruise will mark the ship's inaugural sailing from the port, as the ship has previously only homeported in Port Canaveral. All Dream departures will visit Castaway Cay, the line's private island in the Bahamas. In
addition, three- and four-day cruises from
Miami will call at Nassau, while five-day cruises will stop at
either Grand Cayman or Cozumel, Mexico.
"While we prepare for a return to sea just as soon as the time is right, we continue to look to the future and develop more cruising options for families," Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Cruise Line, said in a statement.
The Disney Fantasy will remain in Port Canaveral, also offering a visit to Castaway Cay on each cruise. The vessel will feature Disney's first call in Roseau, Dominica, on a nine-day eastern Caribbean sailing.
In addition to the Caribbean, the line's summer 2022 offerings also include cruises to the
Greek Isles, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Alaska.
Summer 2022 bookings open March 25.
Disney's newest vessel, the Disney Wish, is scheduled to debut in summer 2022. "Information on itineraries and bookings for this ship will be released at a later date," the line said.
